Services
Three services. One way of working.
We secure the buildings and data centres you already run, cut their energy use and costs, and improve the air in them. Each service looks at different things, and each follows the same four steps: assess, fix, verify, monitor.
We recommend starting with security. Every other change runs through the same controls, so they need to be safe first. Performance and air quality can be added together or on their own.
01 · START HERE
Security
Controls that can't be hacked or changed by the wrong people.
What we look at
- Every controller, BMS and remote-access path
- Passwords, user accounts and firmware
- Internet exposure and network separation
Typical fixes
- Internet exposure closed, remote access secured
- Passwords reset, old accounts removed
- Unsupported devices updated or isolated
What we monitor
- Changes made by unknown users or at odd hours
- New accounts, logins and connections
- Independent sensors that disagree with the controller
02 · LOWER COSTS
Performance
Less energy and lower running costs, with equipment working as designed.
What we look at
- Schedules against real occupancy
- Setpoints, overrides and rules that conflict
- Temperatures, energy use and sensor accuracy
- Energy prices and tariffs by the hour
Typical fixes
- Schedules rebuilt around how the building is used
- Occupancy sensors where schedules can't follow real use
- Conflicting rules and forgotten overrides removed
- Faulty sensors replaced or recalibrated
- Pre-cooling and pre-heating timed for cheaper hours
What we monitor
- Overrides left in place and rules that fight
- Sensors drifting, failing or offline
- Energy use against the baseline
- Price and grid signals, where your tariff rewards flexibility
03 · HEALTHIER SPACES
Air
Healthy, comfortable air, measured rather than assumed.
What we look at
- CO2, particles (PM2.5), temperature and humidity by zone
- Ventilation rates against occupancy
- Filters and outdoor air settings
Typical fixes
- Ventilation matched to occupancy
- Filters and outdoor air dampers corrected
- Purifiers where ventilation can't keep up
What we monitor
- Air quality by zone
- Hours above healthy levels
Data centres
The same services, where cooling, power and computing meet.
Data centres run on the same kinds of controls as any building, with far more at stake. Cooling, power and computing are usually managed by different teams with different tools. We look at them together, independently of any vendor.
Security
Facility controls
BMS, DCIM and power monitoring reviewed for internet exposure, access and firmware. Changes and new connections monitored.
Performance
Cooling efficiency
Cooling setpoints, airflow and control rules tuned to the real IT load. Sensors checked against a reference.
Performance · Grid
Grid-aware operation
Cooling, power and workload scheduling coordinated with price, carbon and grid signals, so the site can reduce demand during rare peaks without touching critical services.
Vendor-neutral across DCIM and BMS platforms, BACnet and Modbus, and workload schedulers such as Kubernetes and Slurm.
How every engagement runs
Assess, fix, verify, monitor.
01 · Fixed fee
Assess
Inventory, trend data and an interview on site, plus 2 weeks of our own portable sensors for temperature, CO₂, particles and humidity. Then a report where every finding has its impact, cost to fix and priority.
02 · Fixed fee per scope
Fix
Most fixes are access, rules and settings, not new equipment. Physical work goes to licensed partners we specify, manage and check. Hardware is paid by you directly, with no markup.
03 · Included
Verify
About 30 days later we check again against the baseline: access paths closed, energy and cost change in real numbers, air quality improved.
04 · Annual subscription
Monitor
Continuous checks with a short monthly action list. Read-only to start. Permanent sensors where needed, bought by you at cost, plus a fixed install fee.
The assessment report
Every finding tells you what's wrong, what it costs you and what it costs to fix.
Finding and solution
The problem in plain words, the evidence, and what to change.
Impact
Security: risk rating. Performance: cost wasted a year. Air: people and hours affected.
Fix and return
Estimated cost to fix, and payback, risk closed or comfort gained.
Priority
Fix now, quick win, or plan for later. Savings are verified after the fix.

BMS reachable from the internet with the default admin password. Four former contractor accounts still active.
Solution: Remove internet exposure, move remote access behind a VPN, reset passwords and delete old accounts.

Return
Risk closed
Refrigeration controllers in 3 stores run firmware that no longer gets security updates.
Solution: Isolate them from the store network now; update or replace them in a planned upgrade.
Impact
High risk, 3 sites
Fix

Risk closed
Nobody is told when setpoints, schedules or user accounts change.
Solution: Turn on change logging and send alerts to a named person, day and night.

Changes seen same day
Heating and cooling running at the same time on level 2. Night setback overridden since 2023.
Solution: Widen the gap between heating and cooling setpoints and restore the night setback.

Featured service
Refrigeration Controls Security Check
Refrigeration controllers are often reachable from the internet so contractors can manage them remotely. In October 2026 that access was used to force supermarket freezers into a 50 °C defrost cycle across hundreds of stores. Our fixed-price check shows whether your sites are exposed, and how to close the gaps without losing remote service.
- 1Inventory of supervisory controllers and every remote-access path, with model, firmware and end-of-life status
- 2Passive check for controller interfaces reachable from the internet
- 3Access review: default or shared passwords, former contractors, who can change setpoints and defrost
- 4Our own temperature sensors in sample cases for 2 weeks, compared with what the controller reports
- 5Risk rating per site, prioritised fixes aligned with national cyber guidance, and a one-page board summary
How we deliver
Pasot leads every engagement and owns the result. Specialist engineers join where the work needs them: controls, refrigeration and OT security. You deal with one firm throughout.
Works with any brand
BACnet, Modbus, KNX and the major refrigeration and BMS platforms. No preferred vendor.
Read-only first
We start by observing. Nothing is changed without your written approval.
Your contractors stay
We work alongside your maintenance and refrigeration contractors, not instead of them.
What we don't do
Sell equipment, guarantee savings percentages, or push replacement of systems that can be fixed.
Not sure where to start?
In 20 minutes we'll tell you which service to start with, and what it would cost.
