About

Founded to fill a gap in how buildings are looked after.

Buildings now run on networked controls. Many firms install them, sell them or test them. Very few look after the whole system independently, and fewer still stay on to keep it working.

The gap

Everyone does their part well. Nobody owns the whole.

Controls contractors

Experts in panels, wiring and commissioning. Usually paid to install and repair, not to keep checking.

Equipment vendors

Know their own products best. Their advice naturally leads back to their own hardware.

Cyber security firms

Strong on IT networks. Fewer understand an air handler, a chiller or a refrigeration rack.

Green building and air quality consultants

Measure and certify, often once, at a point in time, for schemes like LEED, BREEAM or WELL.

What's missing is someone independent who looks at the whole system, connects what's already there, fixes it, and keeps watching. Most work stops at install or audit. Monitoring, the part that keeps results from fading, is the part most often left out.

Our approach

Work with what's there. Make it smarter.

Most buildings already own the hardware they need. The capital is spent. What's missing is the layer that connects legacy systems into one view, with rules and automations that match how the building is really used.

So we don't rip and replace. We assess, fix and monitor the systems you have, bring in specialist engineers for controls, refrigeration and OT security where the work needs them, and stay accountable for the result.

The same approach works at every scale: an office or a store that runs well, a building that responds to the grid by using less power when it is scarce or expensive, and data centres, where cooling, power and computing loads need to work together.

Travis Ramsey, founder of Pasot

Why I started Pasot

Three things I care about, in one kind of work.

I've spent my career making systems work better. I've designed and integrated software for businesses since 1998 and founded two companies along the way. Buildings are where that instinct meets three things I care about.

Climate

Buildings account for about 40% of energy use in the EU. Every kilowatt-hour a building stops wasting is carbon that never reaches the atmosphere, and money back to the owner. Lower emissions and lower costs come from the same fix.

Health

The air indoors shapes how we feel, think and work. Most buildings never measure it. I want the places where people work, learn and recover to be measurably healthier and more comfortable.

Defence

Building systems have become targets. Hostile groups are probing the infrastructure of Europe and its allies to cause disruption. I believe in democracy and the rule of law, and protecting the everyday systems our societies run on is a practical way to do my part.

Pasot brings those together: buildings that waste less, keep people healthier and are harder to disrupt.

Why the name Pasot

Four things we look after, in one word.

Performance

Energy, cost and equipment running as designed.

Air

Healthy, comfortable air, measured rather than assumed.

Security

Controls only the right people can change.

Operational Technology

The controls that run the building, and the thing we look after.
